I was an MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) student at Seattle Pacific University admitted Autumn 2010. In the summer of 2011, I switched to ARC (Alternate Routes to Certification) Program, MTMS (Masters of Teaching Math and Science). I expect to fulfill all requirements for this course of study in June of 2012 and obtain my resident certificate.
I am pursuing endorsements in mathematics – physics. My goal is to teach at the secondary level in the State of Washington. I currently have a conditional certificate and am employed as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Specialist (intern) at Highline Big Picture High School in Burien, WA.
From 2010-2011 I was a PhysTEC/Noyce Scholar see: http://www.phystec.org/noyce/scholars.php. The PhysTEC folks are so great, they extended me a little more aid for the summer of 2011. Here’s a little video about PhysTEC/Noyce:
